About Me

My photo
Southern Highlands, NSW
Welcome to my world. I am a young Shi Tzu puppy who lives in considerable comfort at Lynwood Farm with THEM. I’m fascinated by the way people live - in the rooms they build, the gardens they plant, the treasures they collect and the comfort they create. THEY give me the complete run of the house, so I will be able to show you lots of pictures of life at Lynwood.

laundry bliss

SHE says the laundry is Martha Stewart's fortune because it's every woman's fancy.

At Lynwood the laundry is upstairs. This makes it so much easier for HER (and Lisa) when they face the pile on Monday morning after a house-full.
Downstairs in the mud room there is another washing machine for the stuff that lives downstairs like our dog towels, tea towels etc., but you've already seen that.

From my position down here on the floor  (most of the time) I don't mind that she loves the laundry so much as it provides me with a lot of chewing opportunities.

Don't you love all the old family pictures hanging here ? The black frames go so well with the black & white tiles.

As you can see, the laundry provides a lot of basket opportunities - THEY are very relaxed with what I do, but I am absolutely not allowed to chew them, sort of.

Laundry basket on wheels for sheets and towels

this is the Bumble repair department (I particularly like gnawing on the socks - as you can see below my favourite colour is orange !)

The present wrapping dept.

The upstairs laundry has a bar fridge and tea making goodies - everyone can help themselves to that first cuppa of the day without parading downstairs in their PJ's.
Once again, HER devotion to Porthault is on display.

The cleaning arsenal

I 'found' this sock on the laundry floor but I will take it back.

  2. Now, that's a lovely laundry, and rather envy-making I must admit. Our "new" laundry room is the last bit of our as-yet-to-be-done renovation household list, and so I and my housekeeper are still making do with my less-than-fantasy reality, circa 1959 (with later appliances circa 1998). Some of us guys do get in on the laundering thing every once in a while. In fact, I discuss it in my current blog post, in which I share my top five favorite household cleaning products. Reggie
